WayToRussia.Net is a travel guide — we
do not sell train tickets ourselves.
Instead, we provide online train schedules, comprehensive guide
to train travel in Russia, and allow our readers to buy train
tickets beforehand from the chosen service
providers (and explain how they can buy the tickets themselves
directly at train stations).
The service provides we advertise were chosen for their positive
record, fair prices, good quality of customer support, ability
to accept
payments with credit cards, English-speaking operators.
We do get commission from them for every paid order, and this
allows us to continue developing WayToRussia.Net, offering free
unbiased information about Russia for travelers, as well as support
our online order processing system.
We constantly
monitor the quality of support they provide, especially making
sure you don't get overcharged and that you receive replies within
24 hours. Because of the nature of train travel in Russia, you
will always have to pay more if you go through a service provider,
rather than the train station directly. But then there are certain
advantages you get if you order through service provider. More
on that can be found at our knowledgebase article regarding Advantages
and Disadvantages of going through train station directly / service
providers (agencies).
Once you have chosen the train(s) you need, you will be offered
to purchase your train tickets by yourself at a train station,
or through several selected service providers. Train tickets
cannot be reserved in Russia, that's why you have to buy them
to secure your journey.
You can contact the service providers and / or Way to Russia
Trains department through our Online
Support Center.
Tip of the Week:
When you see the online train
schedules on our website, you can click on the name and number
of the train and the new page with more information (and sometimes
photos taken by Way to Russia) will be displayed.
